G – Handicap Index is retrieved from the USGA GHIN system
* - Recorded less than the three rounds within the past year with the club (minimum of three rounds needed to create an index)
A – Index calculation adjusted to include only the most recent rounds (this only takes place if the current index is deemed not be an accurate representation of the player’s current potential. This can happen when a player has been out for a long time due to illness or injury or has not played any rounds in a very long time).
C – Cap applied – Index has increased by at least 3 points from the lowest index in a 12-month span, further increases calculated at 50%. Index cannot increase more than 5 points in a 12-month span.
E – Exceptional score reduction applied - Index has been reduced by 1 point because of an exceptionally good round where the handicap for that round is 7 or greater points less than the current handicap. There is a 2-point reduction for a round that is 10 or greater points less than the current handicap
